Unmasked is an anonymous mental health app for college students that had been operating for 6 months before I came on the team for a design overhaul. The platform aims to build a supportive online community for those struggling with mental health issues.
Team: Me (designer), Mira Ram (designer), Dylan Lew (designer)
Timeline: Summer 2020 (10 weeks)
One of the biggest challenges was conveying the essential information (picture, stem length, color, vase life, quantity, and price) at a glance, since farmers may need to reference this information on-the-go or while harvesting. I prioritized the image, since the flower industry is highly visual, and made editing easily accessible directly from the card.
The filter page enables users to quickly and continuously add filters with suggested tags that turn into auto-populated search results as the user types.
This interaction is similar to adding email addresses to a new message and should feel familar to users. Once added, filters appear above the feed so that they can be quickly reviewed or removed.
Finally, I helped Mira develop the new style guide and build on the current soothing nature branding that our users love. This was my first time doing both dark and light mode UI.
